After 109 kms, Suikerbossie is only 17kms to go, but its a tough slog to the top. Here, many dig deep for the last ounce of energy. Fortunately the way up, is lined with 1000's of spectators who whistle, cheer, sing and dance to help the riders reach the top.
Japie Malan (not shown here), was the oldest participant in Cycle Tour history who, at 88 years old, finished yet another Cycle Tour. Thats one for the elderly.
