As today was a holiday here, we loaded the kids in the bakkie and headed off to wherever the navigator took us. We went through a whole span of small farming towns, and about 200 kms from home ended up in Ceres.
For lunch we had a picnic at the Pine Forest Resort. Which was pretty neat and rustic. A place we are definitely coming to spend a weekend at.
This shot is of one of the chalets to rent for the weekend.

That sounds like a great day out, and the chalets look ok too. From the UK it would be difficult finding it, even with the TomTom. Really lovely shot.

Excellent tight composition with beautiful lush tones and great reflections. You make such a simple subject look so exotic. Must have been a really nice day. By the way, I looked up "bakkie" on Google (Wikipedia), and found out that it's our "ute".

@Andrew Gould: Thanks Andrew. Bakkie is slang for an all encompassing variety of vehicles that are not salon cars. My "bakkie" is a 4x4 Mitsubishi Colt. So with the navigator and the "bakkie" we can pretty much get anywhere.
a perfect place to relax! very nice! like the reflections!

This is superb, I would definitely frame this one! The stillness of the clear water and the stark white of the building. What a lovely place for a weekend away from it all. I love the tall pine trees. Stunning shot Graham.
