Another shot from our picnic in Ceres.
Ceres was named after the Roman goddess of agriculture. The name is fitting as the fertile valley, in which the town is situated is a major producer of our deciduous fruit.

That's a very nice spot, weather looks great, I would have to travel to Spain to get the same conditions.

Which planet is this again...? Excellent shot Graham! Hope you are going to post at least one of your Sacred Ibis shots! They are on my list of favourite birds... I don't like their name in Afrikaans though... Skoorsteenveers!! Can you imagine!

beautiful landscape Graham - nice reflections

The tilted horizon puts me off a bit here Graham. I would've gotten lower to try and catch more of the sky as well as the lake! Still looks like a nice place though

@DaveB: Thanks for your comments Dave. I was at a precarious angle on a slippery slope, and I already lost quite a bit of the shot with getting the horizon as straight as I could. The time of day was lousy and the sky came out pretty dull and washed out, this was the best out of the several shots of the same scene.
beautiful landscape, reflection and beautiful contrast between the green and shadows... I like it

My eyes were drawn to the placement of the cloud reflecting in the water. Even though you can't see the cloud in the sky, you can see it in the water and the grasses poking out of it makes it look like a thick mist rising from the water. Interesting photo.

This is great, Graham. The reflection is gorgeous. I love the stillness of the water.
