Took this shot a couple of weeks back at the Berg River Dam. In the bottom left hand corner you can see part of a rainbow.

Love it! The simplicity is what makes it. Lovely DOF to blur background elements. I can even see a bit of a rainbow there on the left.

I love it too - the clarity of the droplet, and the rainbow at the side - you certainly have the knack for spotting these gems, Graham.

Great minimalistic shot Graham, it is that you mentioned the rainbow, but I would suggest this image in BW, it's a very strong statement.

hey mate -- sorry i got to this so late -- pretty busy day today! this is wonderful! so minimalist! the focus is simply perfect! did you notice you have a light spectrum happening in the left corner? what is that from? awesome! is the background a lake with mountains? a superb realist - abstract crossover!

Good minimalist picture. The fact that the main subject is right in the center is not a problem because of the symmetry. I would suggest to clone the round wire at the left border, it will simplify even more and don't distract for watching the rainbow. Beautiful water droplet.

@Ina: That's what I thought an old "safe my mate" sign :)
Well seen, Graham. Simple, but very effective -- as others have already said. What I really like about this is the angle you took it at. You don't have the wire parallel to the frame edges. This adds interest.
