Just seeing this taught rope evokes feelings of a busy harbor, the salty air, the sound of gulls. And an image that can do that is excellent.

Excellent, Graham ... beautiful composition! Looks like you're traveling light wit the Fujifilm FinePix ...

Very graphic picture. The front rope contrast by it's low quality considering the modern yatchs behind. I like the DOF.

Nice dof

Doesn't do alot for me unfortunately Graham, just not enough of interest in the shot to hold my attention, although the DoF is nice!

@DaveB: Point taken, thanks Dave for the honest comment :)
I like this very much. The clarity of the rope against the background and the crisscrossing is very cleverly dealt with. Excellent shot

beautiful detail

Evokes the whole atmosphere of a harbour for me, and has a marvellous feeling of depth to it. Just a detail, but personally, I'd clone out that little spot in the background at the middle of the top, even if it's a natural object in the scene.
