Storm - Bench Mark

Posted by Graham Russon (Cape Town, South Africa) on 7 September 2008 in Cityscape & Urban and Portfolio.

These benches facing the sea were covered in foam, and the ground was knee deep. I bravely (stupidly) waded into the foam, and took a whole bunch of shots of the foam being blown by the wind. In several shots I got onto my knees for a better angle.

Needless to say I was drenched and covered in sea foam, which as it dries turns green and is pretty smelly. We were meeting my mom and niece for lunch, and didn't have enough time to go home and change. We were hoping for a clothing shop near the restaurant to buy some cheap pants, but to no avail. I had to put a brave face and walk into the restaurant, with my wet, green and smelly jeans. I got some really odd looks and my mom mentioned that I kinda stunk. Gotta love this hobby.
