Weekend - Tygerberg Nature Reserve

On Sunday we had a picnic on Tygerberg Hill at the Tygerberg Nature Reserve. The views from up there are stunning.

This shot offers a different perspective of Table Mountain and just shows how colossal it is. The suburbs in the foreground are Parow and Goodwood. Our offices are in Goodwood, somewhere between the Parow Golf Course and the high rise buildings to the left of the shot.

The big blue roof building to the right is the N1 City shopping mall. Higher up and to the right of Table mountain is Cape Town itself.

@dobbino: Thanks Rob, yes it is wonderful. I spend so much time driving out of town to find things to shoot, and this right on my doorstep. I would recommend this for an afternoon outing, the park is very well kept and maintained, it's pretty secure and generally a nice bunch of people enjoying their day off.

What a spectacular vista, this is the first time I've seen Table mountain and the cities like this. Cape Town is nearly all low buildings, that makes a change.

Wow Graham this is a stunner. Great shot of table mountain I didn't realise it was so imposing. It sort of rules right over Cape town doesn't Must be a fantastic nature reserve as it is on an area with such fantastic views
