Fireworks - For Dirk

My brother and his business partner, Dirk, have a traditional and annual fireworks evening on Guy Fawkes night. They put a great deal of effort, time and cost into the evening and a large crowd gathers at the demarcated legal spot on Blouberg Beach. There rockets and displays are awesome. Hundreds of people gather on the beach, and all oohing and aahing at each spectacle.

This year, while preparing for the evening ahead, Dirk, slipped of a ladder and broke his ankle quite badly. He spent the night in hospital, but was happy in the knowledge that the show must go on.
