Arachnophobia

Came across this one, while wading through my archives. Taken a few years ago. I woke up in the middle of the night and sensed, rather than saw a movement on the roof. While I stared at the dark shape, it moved. Yeaaagh, I turned on the light and screamed like a girl. My wife, woke up and also screamed.

Between the two of us, we managed to capture this rain spider in an ice cream container, and set it free, in the neighbors garden. This guy is about the size of an adult mans hand, and is pretty harmless. Gives me the creeps though, even thinking about it.

As an aside, thanks to everyone who left a birthday message for my daughter, I printed out the page, and she took it to school to show her greetings from all over the world.
