Berg River - Squirrel

Posted by Graham Russon (Cape Town, South Africa) on 8 December 2008 in Animal & Insect.

Sunday the temperature in my car read 45c (113f) , true temp must have been between 38c and 40c (100f to 104f). We headed off to the Berg River Resort near Paarl, where we spent the day swimming in the pools, later in the afternoon, we hired a boat and paddled up the river. I got into the water to take some shots. At times the water was up to my chest, luckily my camera didn't get wet.

This was an interesting shot of a squirrel scampering away from us. The front half was in shade, and the tail was in bright sunlight, I did a bit of levels adjusting to get the shot looking ok.
